pasting wallpaper is not done in one step. Generally speaking, decorating wallpaper requires six steps: removing the wallpaper, cutting the wallpaper, painting, scraping greasy, painting glue, and pasting the wallpaper

European style wallpaper Mingxin wallpaper 1. Remove the wall: remove the original paint, wallpaper and other objects on the wall. If there are cracks and holes on the wall, use gypsum powder to supplement these positions, and paste bandages after leveling; In case of sand and ash walls and partitions, glass wool cloth or dacron cloth should be pasted; Some poor quality partition walls or external walls need to be fully nailed with gypsum boards to achieve the thermal insulation effect

2. Cutting Wallpaper: measure the height from the top of the wall to the skirting line, and then cut the wallpaper. The non floral wallpaper is cut by about 10 cm according to the height of the wall for upper and lower trimming; We need to think about the symmetry of the pattern for the flower wallpaper, which needs to be more than 10 cm, and we should cut and number the flowers from the top, so that they can be copied in order. In addition, the cut wallpaper usually needs to be soaked in clean water for 10 minutes before applying glue

3. Greasy brushing: brush the bottom oil, evenly brush the alkyd varnish on the wall, and the thickness is moderate; Putty and polish. Apply putty twice to the wall. After the putty is dried, polish the wall with sandpaper to remove the particles of good and bad to make the wall smooth and flat; Cover oil, use clear oil to brush the wall again evenly, without too thick. This can prevent the wall from absorbing wallpaper glue, make the wallpaper stick firmly on the wall, and also make the wall more flat

4. Apply glue. In order to ensure strong reproduction, the back of the wallpaper and the wall should be painted with glue. The glue liquid should be painted evenly, and it is not allowed to wrap edges or pile up, so as to prevent soiling the wallpaper. Apply glue on the wall, and the width should be 30mm wider than the width of the wallpaper. After applying glue on the back of the wallpaper, place it on the folded side for 5 minutes, which can not only prevent the glue surface from drying quickly, but also prevent it from being polluted at will

5. Pasting: the criterion is first vertical and then horizontal, first up and then down, first high and then low. When pasting the first piece of paper, find the reference line at the corner of the wall, press it quietly from top to bottom and from the middle to both sides by hand, and then scrape it with a scraper to make the wallpaper and the wall solid. When pasting the second wallpaper, stack 20mm at the overlap with the first one, cut off the stacked part with a wallpaper knife, and then scrape the rest with a scraper. It should be noted that the glue extruded from the side of the wallpaper should be wiped with a wet towel in time to prevent the wallpaper from turning yellow over time

6. Wallpaper pasting: after the wallpaper glue is evenly coated on the wallpaper with a roller, the thicker wallpaper needs to be placed for a period of time. When pasting wallpaper at the end, as for the seam, squeeze the two sides of the adjacent wallpapers to make them coincide, press the seam with a scraper, and clear the extruded glue. After the wallpaper is pasted, use a scraper to roll the pasted wallpaper from top to bottom

7. When pasting wallpaper, if there is a power switch or socket on the wall, you can first turn off the main power supply, then cover all the power switches or sockets with the wallpaper, cut two diagonals from the center of gravity, and four small triangles will be displayed, and then cut off the excess wallpaper around the seat with a art knife
